Danbury is about 62 miles south of Duluth. Take Highway 35 south and you will arrive in right around 90 minutes. It is one of the easiest day trips from the Duluth area and close enough that plenty of our guests come up for a morning adventure and are back home for dinner. A lot of them turn it into a full weekend by staying at one of the cabins or resorts right in Danbury.
It depends on the adventure. Pontoons are perfect for all ages including young children and grandparents with no height or age restrictions. For UTVs, ATVs, and jet skis all passengers must be at least 46 inches tall. If you are coming with little ones we recommend starting with a pontoon rental and adding a UTV or jet ski experience for the older kids and adults in the group. If you have never ridden a UTV through Northwoods trails or taken a jet ski out on a calm inland lake it is absolutely worth the drive. It is a completely different experience from anything available in the Duluth area and most of our guests from up north become regulars.
